Sunny Day in October?
If you know Vancouver, you know that warm sunny days in the middle of October are rare. You also know that they are basicaly unheard of on a weekend. So when this happened, we rushed out the door to take advantage of it.
Check out the spectacular sights along the way.
The route we took from Pitt Meadows to Qualicum Beach
Half way up the "Sunshine Coast" is the town of Sechelt and the scenic Porpoise Bay
Qualicum Beach Airport has a great restaurant called the "Final Aproach" (sounds a little morbid to me)
There is an abandoned railyway track that forms a trail going for many miles up and down the island
A little corner of Thormanby Island. David's boss has a property here somewhere.
Downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. What can I say? We live in a very pretty city!
We're over Barnston Island here. Those are red cranberries in the field ahead, and our home airport is just off to the left.

Here is the video-blog of the flight. Worth watching.
